A picturesque hill station located 1000 m above the sea level with a nice bracing cool climate, Saputara the 'Adobe of Serpents', is located in the forest region of Dangs of Sahyadari Ranges. The town, the only hill station in Gujarat, is situated on the Maharashtra-Gujarat border. The ambiance is very cool through out the seasons and the maximum temperature experienced here is 28 degrees in summer months.

As per the Hindu mythology, Lord Ram spent his 11 years of exile in the dense forests of Saputara. There is a deity of a serpent (snake) placed on the banks of the river Sarpaganga. Local tribal folks pay worship to this serpent god and celebrate festivals like Holi. Saputara is enriched with natural relics and bio diversity, with awesome climate of chilly air and the terrains covered with mists in the evenings.

An all-season hill resort, Pachmarhi nestles in Satpura ranges with its enchanting forest glades, giggling ravines and fascinating wildlife. It has its archaeological assets too. There are rock paintings, said to be dating back to thousands of years, in the caves of Mahadeo hills. Pachmarhi was discovered in 1857 by a Bengali lancer. The British developed it as a hill resort. Alibag meaning Garden of Ali, is a coastal town is located in the Raigad district of the Konkan region. Alibag is a weekend picnic spot for the citizens of Mumbai. It is also a famous center for business conferences. Most of the people in the city own farms and cottages which are a few hundred meters from the sea shore. As Alibag is surrounded by sea on all 3 sides, it is known as Goa of Maharashtra.
